Instant Pot Honey Garlic Chicken
We made a tweak to this recipe from the talented people over at Rasa Malaysia and substituted their very garlicky version with a more subtle garlic flavour using our Garlic Infused Honey.
Honey Garlic Chicken
4 Chicken Thighs (about 1.5lbs)
1 - 2 tablespoons cooking oil
salt & pepper to taste
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Honey Garlic Sauce
3 tablespoons Bee Kind Garlic Infused Honey
1 teaspoon coconut sugar or brown sugar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons chicken broth, warmed
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Mix together the ingredients of the Honey Garlic Sauce ensuring honey and sugar are dissolved. Set aside. Season the chicken thighs with salt & pepper. Set aside. Turn the Instant Pot* to the sauté setting. When hot, add cooking oil and brown the chicken with skin side down first. When browned nicely, pour the Honey Garlic Sauce over the chicken and put the lid on the Instant Pot. Select Manual High Pressure and set for 10 minutes. When complete, do a Quick Release being careful when you remove the lid. Serve with parsley scattered on the top.
* If you don't have an Instant Pot, try this dish in your slow cooker on high for three hours.
