• A note from Bee Kind founder, Kirsten Brolin

Born and raised in British Columbia, farming has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. In my early adult years in Pemberton, I raised chickens, turkeys, and pheasants, deepening a lifelong connection to animals and the land.

In 2012, our family experienced a profound loss that changed everything. Suddenly, I found myself raising two young children on my own. While our lives shifted in an instant, that moment became a powerful turning point: one that taught me to live with greater intention, to recognize the fragility of life, and to prioritize what truly matters.

As our housing needs changed in the Lower Mainland, so did the scale of the livestock we could keep. On a small city lot, honey bees became my way of staying connected to farming. What began as a practical solution quickly grew into a passion. In 2019, I began my formal education in commercial beekeeping, and that same year, Bee Kind Honey Infusions was born, grounded in a commitment to quality, local honey and thoughtfully chosen, whole ingredients.

Today, we care for several hundred colonies across The Okanagan. As the demand for quality, responsibly produced food continues to grow, so does our work. Returning to farm life was always a dream, and it has now become our reality. We share the land with our bees, chickens, goats, and my beloved Hanoverian horses, which I breed and raise.

    Life is good.

Honey, the Bee Kind Way

Not all honey is created equal. At Bee Kind, our honey reflects the land it comes from and the care that goes into every step of its journey.

We use pure, unpasteurized Canadian wildflower honey, harvested with respect for the bees and infused thoughtfully with real ingredients. Every flavour is designed to enhance (but never overpower!) the natural character of the honey itself.

This is honey made to be used generously, shared often, and enjoyed daily.

  • Pure Canadian Wildflower Honey

We craft every blend with 100% Pure, Canada No. 1 unpasteurized wildflower honey. Simple ingredients, exceptional flavour, always.

  • Sustainable Practices

We care for our bees and harvest our own honey, ensuring transparency, traceability, and integrity. We package our honey in flexible pouches, reducing the carbon footprint vs. glass jars.

  • Small-Batch, Gourmet Infusions

Taste the difference of pure ingredients! Our small-batch infusions are made from real ingredients like lavender, lemon, vanilla, and cinnamon.

  • Proudly Canadian & Woman-Owned

Based in Vernon, BC, and woman-owned, we are a certified True Source Canadian producer dedicated to ethical beekeeping and bee health.

From the Hive to Your Home

To create infused honey, we use a combination of techniques that require time and patience. All of our honey is locally sourced and most of it is made by our own bee colonies.

01

Caring for the Bees

Our process begins with bee health. We follow bee-friendly practices that prioritize long-term colony wellbeing and biodiversity.

02

Harvesting with Intention

Honey is harvested carefully and responsibly, allowing bees to thrive while preserving the natural qualities of the honey.

03

Thoughtful Infusion

To infuse our honey, we apply heat and combine the real ingredients carefully, where they infuse for a period of 4-8 weeks. When we’re happy with the taste, we remove the ingredients from the honey, leaving behind the rich flavour of the infusion!

04

Conscious Packaging

Finished honey is packaged in lightweight spouted pouches designed to reduce environmental impact while improving everyday usability.

How We Support Sustainability

Sustainability at Bee Kind isn’t just a checked box. It’s rooted in every decision we make!

From bee-friendly farming practices to lightweight packaging, we focus on reducing impact where it matters most. Our product is packaged in lightweight, flexible pouches to significantly reduce packaging-related carbon emissions compared to traditional glass jars.

It’s a quieter approach — but one that adds up with every pouch we share.
